Set against the perfect seaside backdrop of the Marechiaro coast, an Amazon-like siren of Naples slumbers peacefully. As her eyes open slowly to meet sunlight, a rose-tinted vision is filtered by her lenses. Sun-drenched summer days can reach feverish heights in this part of the southern Italian coast. Countless hours can be spent recovering and lounging outside the neighboring 19th-century neoclassical Villa Doria d’Angri. Unafraid of the heat, she emerges strong and armored in an elegant bathing suit fit for a Slim Aarons muse. Her body melts in with the languid ripples of the sea, confessing to hypnotic wet surfaces and textures that appear to move with the water. A glamorous Amazon by day to a wild one by evening. For those nights, think crystals and moonlight swims off boats. She slides on a sequined mini dress trimmed in feathers and crystal bedecked heels to dance lithely through the warm, seductive Neapolitan air. The best evenings always end in the water.
